Jr Counselor Camp

A new and unique camp to help your teen get the job experience they need to get a camp counselor job when they turn 16! This is a 2 week experience. One week of Jr Counselor Camp and one week as their "Experience Week". During Jr Counselor Camp they will become CPR and first aid certified as well as learn how to manage groups of children, conflict resolution management, games to play, songs, health and safety measures and more. That week is Mandatory for them to participate in their "Experience Week" later in the summer. The Jr Counselor Camp will take place June 12th-June 16th we will provide lunch & snack for them. There are only 32 spots available and we will have 4 JR counselors join us each week during the summer camp sessions as their experience week.

After you register for Jr Counselor Camp you will get a link to select which week you would like your JR Counselor to have their experience week. There is no extra cost for the week they choose for their "Experience Week".

How it works

Jr Counselor Camp

Our Jr Counselor Camp is for kids Ages 13-15, they are getting eager to work but not quite of age yet. Training camp is being held 6/12-6/16 where campers will learn what it takes to be a Camp Counselor. Campers will become CPR and first aid certified as well as learn how to manage groups of children, conflict resolution management, games to play, songs, health and safety measures and more.

Experience Week

Once registered for the Jr Counselor Camp then you will have the opportunity to choose which week of the summer you would like your camper to have their "Experience Week". During this week they will be responsible for putting everything they learned in Jr Counselor camp into practice. As they will be at camp as a "Senior Camper" shadowing a LTC Counselor and learning even more.

Years of Experience

After going through this experience our hope is that every trainee would like to come and officially be part of the Little Theater Family. As well as have the years of experience they need to be able to get their first job! We are partnering with other summer camps and after school organizations to be a resource for our Jr Counselors Campers to find a job after they become of age to work.
